Frequently asked questions

Have fun on a fall morning while supporting MultiCare’s Inland Northwest Foundation, with a focus on sustaining and expanding access to behavioral health care in the Inland Northwest. What’s better than that?

Where do I pick up my packet?

Packet pickup is the morning of the race starting at 7:30am at the big pickup tent. Our start/finish line festivities will be located at the WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus at the Green 5 parking lot (corner of East Spokane Falls Boulevard and North Sherman Street). Stay after the race for a complimentary brunch, live entertainment and all-around groovin’ brunchy vibes.

Mimosa tent

If you’ll be joining us in the adult brunch-y beverage tent (yay mimosas!), IDs will be mandatory and checked at the entrance. Cash only, $5.

Will pictures be available?

We will have a photographer taking photos, but not individual shots. We will share a link after the race. Be sure and snap a few crossing the finish line!

Can I purchase waffles for spectators or kids?

Yes, additional waffles can be purchased for $10 (cash only) at the packet pickup tent.

Is this a timed event?

No. This is a fun run and walk and is not timed. Our route is not USATF certified. We will, however, present the top male/female who cross the finish line an award. Please meet at the stage at 9:45am on race day.

Will gear check be available?

Yes, we will have complimentary clothing/gear check. You can find gear check tent near the start line. Please drop off items after you have picked up your bib number.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Carpool, bike, walk or drive if you must. WSU Spokane Campus parking is available in several lots near the start/finish line area.

Can I bring my dog?

Leashed dogs are welcome, at the back of the pack, and must be on leashes no longer than eight feet, per Centennial Trail code. Please be courteous to our runners and walkers and pick up after your pooches.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes. We want the whole family to come out and join the fun.

Joining us virtually?

We’re sorry that you won’t be with us in person this year, but so glad you’ll be joining us virtually. Please complete your “made by you” 5K race route by end of day Saturday, Oct. 12. Because our live event is untimed, there is no need to upload your results. Skip around your house after your very own race — where you surely came in first place! And don’t forget to eat waffles when you’ve completed your 5K. Beanie hats will be mailed during race week.

What’s the refund policy?

Registration for this event is nonrefundable and nontransferable. If you cannot make it on race day, we will consider your registration a donation to MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation.

Does this event benefit a charity?

In Washington, one in five people lives with a behavioral health condition, and suicide is now the second leading cause of death for those aged 15 to 23. Despite these troubling statistics, many children, youth, and adults still face significant barriers to effective behavioral health treatment due to a lack of resources.

The proceeds from this year’s run will help sustain and expand access to behavioral health care in the Inland Northwest, addressing our community’s most urgent need. For more information about this year’s beneficiary, please visit MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation.
