William Duke, MD, is a fellowship-trained thyroid and parathyroid surgeon. He specializes in the minimally invasive surgical treatment of thyroid conditions such as nodules, goiters, cancers, and hyperthyroidism, as well as parathyroid disorders such as hyperparathyroidism and parathyroid tumors and cancer. He is the Director of Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery in the Otolaryngology department at MultiCare.

Dr. Duke provides comprehensive head and neck endocrine surgical care to both adult and pediatric patients. In addition to working at MultiCare, he is an instructor of thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound for the American College of Surgeons, has published two books on endocrine surgery and authored over 40 scientific papers and book chapters.

Dr. Duke is featured in Seattle Magazine's annual list of the Top Doctors in the Puget Sound for 2023.

    Dr. Duke is excellent. He went back in my records 11 years, he would have gone further had they been electronic prior to that. He explained everything throughly. He showed empathy, humor, and knowledge. I have never been to a provider that took as much time during my visit or prior to my visit to prepare for it as Dr. Duke did.

    Dr. Duke is probably the best provider I have ever seen and I've seen alot. He explains everything so carefully and thoroughly. I feel like I'm a student in a medical class during my appointments which is awesome! I have never felt rushed during my visit nor pressured into any treatment. He told me during my very first visit with him that every morning for every patient he thoroughly studies our charts prior to each visit. I don't think I've ever had any doctor do that. I wish he was my primary care or any kind of specialist physician.
