MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital participates in a wide variety of health insurance plans. Most of those plans are listed below. Because plan coverage is frequently updated, it is always a good idea to check with your insurance company for current information about your plan and the coverage it provides for your choice of hospital, physician, service or procedure.

What to do if you don’t see your plan or network

If you don’t see your plan or network listed, please contact your insurance provider to find out what, if any, coverage is available to you when you receive services from MultiCare. The member services phone number is typically listed on your ID card.

For more information about these plans, please contact the plan’s customer service department or SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) help line at 800-562-6900 which is a free service of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.

In Washington state, Medicaid eligibility expanded to include more adults. The state has also set up a Health Benefit Exchange, called Washington Health Plan Finder, that allows individuals and families who do not have employer-sponsored health insurance to enroll in a health plan and receive financial help. Health coverage offered through Washington Health Plan Finder includes classic Medicaid, an expanded Medicaid program for Washington state called “Apple Health” and various qualified health insurance plans.

For in-person support, MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital offers “assisters” at the hospital and emergency department. Please call 509-746-3466 for more information.

If you have any questions, we encourage you to call Yakima Memorial’s Business Office at 509-575-8255. Account representatives have been assigned to specific accounts to help better accommodate our patients. We can help you with:

• Set up payment plans.
• Review statements with the patient for errors.
• Help patients understand their invoices.
• Help patients determine if L&I or non-healthcare insurance can be used for coverage.
• Work with patients to bill healthcare insurance companies for benefit coverage.
• Help patients determine who they need to contact about specific invoice charges.
