Patient & Family Relations

If you have a concern or compliment regarding the care or service provided by MultiCare, call our Patient & Family Relations Specialists, available Monday – Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

Should you feel your care was not of the highest standard, we encourage you to contact us. You may either contact management for the service area directly or contact a patient advocacy specialist using one of the methods outlined below.

Puget Sound region

The Puget Sound region includes the following MultiCare hospitals: Allenmore Hospital, Auburn Medical Center, Capital Medical Center, Covington Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s, Tacoma General Hospital. This region also includes all MultiCare clinics located in Pierce, King, Kitsap, Thurston and Snohomish counties.

Accreditation

MultiCare hospitals, home health and hospice services are accredited by the Joint Commission. This accreditation is a nationwide seal of approval indicating that we meet high performance standards related to the quality and safety of our patient care. The public may contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring to report any concerns or to register complaints about a Joint Commission accredited health care organization by calling 800-994-6610. You may also submit care concerns to the Joint Commission electronically at apps.jointcommission.org.

HIPAA or privacy-related concerns

MultiCare is dedicated to protecting our patients’ right to privacy. Through the creation of the MHS Privacy Office, MultiCare takes a proactive approach to ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and Washington State Law. If you have a HIPAA question or concern, contact MultiCare’s Chief Privacy Officer and Sections 504 and 1557 Coordinator by phone at 253-459-7865 or by email at [email protected].
