Obesity is not simply a weight problem but a chronic disease that increases health risks and can make life more difficult. At MultiCare, we know that everyone’s weight-loss goal looks different, and the paths you take to get there look different, too. There’s no one-size-fits-all weight-loss solution. That’s why we offer more than just effective ways to lose weight — we give you the tools to change your relationship with your body and become a happier, healthier you.
Programs we offer
At MultiCare, choose from a surgical or nonsurgical approach to weight loss:
- Bariatric surgery. These surgical procedures help you lose weight by changing aspects of your digestive system, such as reducing your stomach size. Please note we require patients to attend a free seminar about bariatric surgery prior to scheduling a consultation.
- Medical weight loss. Nonsurgical approaches to weight loss focus on sustainable lifestyle changes, nutrition counseling, exercise, education and one-on-one support.
How we help
MultiCare offers evidence-based weight-loss and wellness programs and procedures in a compassionate, supportive environment. Our board-certified doctors personalize weight-loss plans to fit your specific needs and health goals, providing dedicated support through all stages of your care.
Our surgical program is nationally recognized as a Comprehensive Center through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).
Is surgery right for you?
Unsure if surgery is right for you? Take our weight-loss health assessment to find out if you are a candidate for weight-loss surgery.
Ready to consider surgery? Follow these steps to schedule a consultation:
Step 1. Attend a free seminar where you can learn more about the procedures we offer, what recovery is like and other topics. Virtual and in-person options are available depending on your location. This step is required before we can schedule a consultation.
Step 2. At the end of the seminar, you’ll complete a screening form to determine your eligibility and insurance coverage.
Step 3. Following the seminar, one of our bariatric coordinators will call you to schedule a consultation. If you’re not eligible for surgery, we’ll discuss alternative options, such as medical weight loss.
