The United States general election is just one week away. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, is Election Day, when ballots across the country are cast and counted.<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t already registered to vote, today is the last day to do so by mail in Washington state. To register, visit VoteWA.gov<\/a>. You can also confirm your information online<\/a> if you\u2019re already registered.<\/p>\n

Idaho is a vote-in-person state. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot has passed, so be sure to vote in person at your designated polling place if you have not already voted by mail. You may register and vote in person on Election Day. For more information or to confirm your voter registration details, visit the\u00a0Idaho Votes<\/a>\u00a0website.<\/p>\n

Make your voting plan today<\/h2>\n

With one week to go, now is a great time to make a plan to vote. The state of Washington is a mail-in ballot state, which means your ballot is automatically mailed to you to fill out and return by Election Day. To receive a ballot, you must be registered to vote.<\/p>\n

Remember: Your ballot must either be postmarked no later than Election Day or returned to a ballot drop box by 8pm on Election Day. If you\u2019re mailing your ballot this week, be mindful of mailbox collection times or use an official ballot drop box. A late postmark could disqualify your ballot.<\/p>\n

If you need to vote in person, voting centers are open during business hours now through 8pm on Election Day. You can also register to vote in person at voting centers if you miss today\u2019s deadline to do so online.<\/p>\n
