They made their way from The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse to Sumner High School, meandering through charming neighborhoods in solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" title=\"Come Walk With Me 2022 Highlights Video\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/lxwhk6elmx?dnt=1#?secret=rSE9KgRCdz\" data-secret=\"rSE9KgRCdz\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/give.multicare.org\/our-foundations\/good-samaritan-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MultiCare Good Samaritan Foundation<\/a> has co-hosted this beloved event for 18 years alongside the city of Sumner and The Old Cannery.<\/p>\n<p>Fundraising for the cause started in June and concluded at the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with generous CWWM participants and sponsors raising more than $194,00 (and counting) for breast health programs and services at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Last year alone, CWWM fundraising provided:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>339 complimentary wigs and consultations for breast cancer patients like Ronda Courser, a medical receptionist at Mary Bridge Children\u2019s Health Center<\/li>\n<li>129 breast cancer treatment handbooks<\/li>\n<li>51 post-mastectomy camisoles<\/li>\n<li>23 gas and grocery gift cards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_22799\" style=\"width: 251px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22799\" class=\"wp-image-22799 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/updates-www.mccdn.io\/vitals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2022\/11\/Ronda-241x300.jpg\" alt=\"Woman posing for the camera.\" width=\"241\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/updates-www.mccdn.io\/vitals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2022\/11\/Ronda-241x300.jpg 241w, https:\/\/updates-www.mccdn.io\/vitals\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2022\/11\/Ronda.jpg 385w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-22799\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mary Bridge Children\u2019s Health Center medical receptionist Ronda Courser in her complimentary wig made possible by Come Walk With Me donations.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>During her fourth chemotherapy treatment, Courser began to lose her hair. Tired of wearing beanies and \u201clooking like a cancer patient,\u201d she reached out to Community Cancer Consultant Tamara Miller, MSHS, BCPA, LE, at the Good Samaritan Cancer Resource Center.<\/p>\n<p>Within days, Miller mailed Courser the perfect wig, thanks to CWWM donors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like the wig just gives you that self-confidence,\u201d Courser explains. \u201cFor me, my hair was everything. I feel like people who donate to this cause are just amazing.
