In the final installment of the three-part video series, Reign Reflections,\u00a0OL Reign defender Sam Hiatt and forward Bethany Balcer are back to discuss the future of mental health and how they\u2019ve been helped by the league\u2019s first sport psychologist.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the next generation of athletes, I hope mental health conversations are a normal part of health conversations,\u201d Hiatt shares. \u201cThe more that we set that expectation and have open conversation about it, the more likely we are to be prepared to seek help or talk to someone when we need to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Open dialogue is important to expanding access to behavioral health care, treatment and support, adds Jeff Eisen, MD, MultiCare Behavioral Health Network chief medical officer and chief operating officer for outpatient services.<\/p>\n
