The physical environment of a hospital or clinic has an important role to play in how we experience health care. Do the fixtures in the restrooms work? Are all the outlets and call lights in patient rooms operational? Is the temperature in the building properly regulated? Are all machines in the operating rooms calibrated and functioning as they should?<\/p>\n

Across MultiCare, our facilities management and engineering services teams work diligently to maintain our buildings, grounds and equipment. In the next video in our \u201cBeyond the Front Lines\u201d series, learn how the Engineering Services team at MultiCare Capital Medical Center supports safety and satisfaction for patients, visitors and other MultiCare team members.<\/p>\n

About this series<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Every day across MultiCare, our team members work together to support the health and well-being of the communities we serve.<\/p>\n

Many of these professionals channel their passion and expertise into providing direct patient care on the \u201cfront lines\u201d of our hospitals and clinics. However, there is also a vast network of individuals in nonclinical roles, or in clinical roles behind the scenes, who help deliver positive outcomes and experiences for our patients and families.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBeyond the Front Lines\u201d video series showcases teams and departments at our organization who may not provide hands-on care yet help ensure the smooth operation of our health system. These videos feature team members at specific MultiCare locations; however, the indispensable work they do takes place day in and day out at facilities across our entire organization.<\/p>\n
