Woodcreek Healthcare joined the Mary Bridge Children\u2019s Hospital & Health Network Jan. 1, formalizing their longtime relationship into a partnership that will benefit the care of children in the East Pierce region. The new name \u2013 Woodcreek Pediatrics \u2013\u00a0 Mary Bridge Children\u2019s, will be phased in over time.<\/p>\n

Woodcreek Healthcare\u2019s primary focus is pediatric primary care, but it also provides integrated behavioral health, an asthma and allergy clinic, and two urgent cares. The partnership brings three Woodcreek practices in Puyallup, Sunrise and Bonney Lake and nearly 40 providers into the Mary Bridge and MultiCare Health System network of providers. This more than doubles the number of general pediatric providers within the network. Being part of the larger Mary Bridge Children\u2019s network allows Woodcreek Pediatrics to coordinate hospital and specialty care more effectively while providing more treatment options than as an independent practice.<\/p>\n

This partnership creates a hybrid model of employment and ownership: Approximately 35 Woodcreek physicians and advanced practice providers are now employed by Mary Bridge Children\u2019s. The practice itself along with clinical and administrative support staff remains independent – owned and operated by the principals who built and grew it over the past 39 years.<\/p>\n
