A cross-state partnership fills gap in pediatric care
At her first trip to Shriners Childrenās Spokane, 16-year-old Taylor Williams met with a team of providers from multiple hospitals. This collaborative appointment stems from a partnership between MultiCare Mary Bridge Childrenās Hospital and Shriners Childrenās Spokane aimed at filling a gap in regional pediatric care.
Beloved community health fair returns to Yakima
August 2023 marked the successful return of Fiesta de Salud after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
MultiCare Yakima Memorial and Memorial Foundation pioneered this community health fair in 2007 as a way to provide valuable health screenings to those in the Yakima area who experience challenges accessing health care, such as lack of insurance or language barriers. Over the years, Fiesta de Salud has grown into Central Washingtonās largest health fair.
Advancing health and well-being through the Community Partnership Fund
The fund awarded $800,000 in grants to more than 100 local nonprofits across the Puget Sound, Yakima and Inland Northwest regions in 2023.
