Puyallup Tribal Health Authority Partnership
One of our many program highlights is our relationship with the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) Family Medicine Residency Program which integrates conventional medicine and osteopathic principles with traditional Native American concepts of wellness. Their 4-4-4 program works with us at MultiCare Tacoma General on a regular basis, rotating through adult medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics rotations. The inpatient family medicine panel works together and cares for our TFM clinic patients as well as patients from the PTHA, adding unique and rich cross-cultural patient perspectives. TFM residents also have the opportunity to rotate with PTHA in their clinic and share didactics and workshops. Our faculty and residents take pride in working as a team to provide the highest standard of medicine to our own local community.
