Understanding Breastfeeding (Puget Sound Region)
Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes knowledge and practice to be successful. In this self-paced, on-demand course, which takes approximately two to three hours to complete, you’ll learn about the benefits of breastfeeding and get practical tips for how to breastfeed effectively, including:
- How to feel prepared for the first latch
- Positioning techniques
- Feeding frequency
- How to tell if your baby is getting enough milk
- How to address challenges
Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese.
Eligible participants can receive a $25 reimbursement after registering for one paid childbirth class and two additional paid family education classes (in person, on demand or live virtual). Contact 253-403-7586 or [email protected] to receive reimbursement upon completion of your three classes.
