MultiCare Deaconess Hospital Earns ‘A’ for patient care
SPOKANE, Wash. — MultiCare Deaconess Hospital earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that sets standards for excellence in patient care. This is the second consecutive A grade for the hospital.
Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 national performance measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
“Leapfrog is the gold standard for hospital safety and MultiCare Deaconess is proud to be recognized,” said Greg Repetti, president of Deaconess Hospital. “This award represents the dedication and excellence our team puts into delivering outstanding patient care for this wonderful community that we call home.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on hospital prevention of medical errors, infections and injuries.
“Earning an ‘A’ grade means MultiCare Deaconess Hospital has made a true commitment to put patients first,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the leadership, board, clinicians, staff and volunteers that all had a role to play in this achievement.”
