This two-hour recorded webinar reviews current theories for motor control, motor development, and neuroplasticity. Concerns and red flags for atypical development will be discussed.  Both behavioral signals/concepts that impact neuroplasticity will be highlighted with applications to clinical practice explored. A case presentation will be used to help to understand theories and how one can put into practice.

Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

  1. Review Motor Theories - Dynamic Systems Theories and NGST.
  2. Identify themes for motor development and motor learning to apply to clinical practice.
  3. Define neural plasticity and identify 6 behavior signals that enhance neural plasticity.
  4. Give examples of how they might apply information to their clinical practice.
