MultiCare Deaconess Hospital earns national recognition

SPOKANE, Wash. — The MultiCare Deaconess Hospital Family Birthing Center received a five-star rating by Newsweek. Deaconess was the only hospital in the Inland Northwest recognized with this distinction and one of only three across the state.

The ranking, “America’s Best Maternity Hospitals 2024,” is based on a nationwide online survey of hospital managers and medical experience (including topics such as cleanliness and communication about medication).

The data on hospital quality metrics was provided by The Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services, and the Health Resources and Services Administration.

“The care our team provides is remarkable and a true testament to their dedication to high-quality care for even the smallest of our patients,” said Greg Repetti, president of Deaconess and MultiCare Valley hospitals. “We are honored to be the only hospital in the region to earn this wonderful, well-deserved recognition.”
