Occupational Medicine Resources for Employers

We make caring for your workforce easier.

For more than three decades, employers in Washington state have entrusted their most valuable resource — their employees — to MultiCare Occupational Medicine.

As a Centers of Occupational Health and Education partner, we work with the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) to coordinate care for workers, reduce work-related disability and improve health outcomes.

When you partner with us, your employees have access to our Occupational Medicine clinics, as well as over 40 Indigo Urgent Care clinics, so they don’t have to visit the emergency department for minor illnesses or injuries. As part of a comprehensive network of care throughout the Pacific Northwest, we provide your employees with the services they need at locations convenient to them.

Our occupational medicine services are designed to:

  • Promote employee safety and well-being
  • Reduce workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Improve employee health outcomes when injuries or illnesses happen
  • Decrease workplace absenteeism and attrition
  • Ensure regulatory compliance

When injuries or illnesses happen

MultiCare’s Occupational Medicine team brings a wealth of experience in managing the care of injured or ill workers. Research shows that returning to work is essential for recovery, benefiting an employee’s mental and physical health as well as their overall functioning.

Throughout the evaluation, care and treatment of a work-related injury or illness, we work closely with patients, employers, payers and other stakeholders. You can rely on our team to:

  • Electronically submit activity prescription forms so all parties involved have immediate access to information about activity restrictions, treatment status and more
  • Support employees in filing workers’ compensation claims and managing reporting and communication related to that process

Our goal is to handle the details so your employee can prioritize recovery, and you can focus on your business.
