SPOKANE, Wash. — Wade Hunt has been named president of MultiCare Deaconess and Valley hospitals. Hunt will assume his role Feb. 10 and is replacing former President Greg Repetti, who retired in October 2024.
Hunt will be responsible for the overall performance of both Deaconess and Valley hospitals. He will build physician relationships and cultivate community partnerships for MultiCare throughout the Inland Northwest. Hunt will report to Alex Jackson, senior executive for MultiCare’s Inland Northwest region.
“After a thorough interview process, I’m confident in Wade’s ability to collaborate with staff, leaders and physicians across both hospitals and lead our team to continued success,” Jackson said. “He is an experienced leader with a performance-focused mindset and a values-inspired approach.”
Hunt has been with MultiCare since 2017 and served in multiple leadership positions throughout his career. For the last three years, he was the president of MultiCare Pulse Heart Institute, where he oversaw growth across key areas of access, quality, service and engagement. Prior to Pulse, he spent four years as Deaconess Hospital’s chief operating officer.
Before Hunt joined MultiCare’s team, he served as the chief operating officer and interim chief executive officer for PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah, as well as a Master of Health Administration from Saint Louis University.
“I’m excited for this opportunity and the challenges ahead, serving as the Inland Northwest’s top choice for health care,” he said. “It’s a privilege and an honor to serve this community with a team that I love that holds such special meaning to myself and my family.”
