Come Join Sibshops
Do you have a brother or sister with a disability or chronic illness? Are you a typically developing child or teen? Do you feel like you are the only person who has a brother or sister with special needs? Then Sibshop is for you!
For Ages - 5 to 17 years of age (18 years ok if still in High School)
What is Sibshop?
Sibshops are lively, peer-support program with pedal-to-the-metal celebrations of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, for others a not-so-good thing, and for many somewhere in between. Our Sibshop programs are for the typically developing kids and teens that have a brother or sister with a disability or special health needs.
We will be doing
- Fun Crafts
- Fun Snacks
- Fun Activities
- Group discussion about the highs & lows of being a sibling of a person with special needs
Registration is required to attend. If the $10 fee is a financial hardship, a limited number of scholarships are available. Please contact [email protected] if you have questions or would like to request a scholarship.
