MultiCare Rockwood Valley Surgical Specialists provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment related to general surgery health conditions. Many of our surgeons are fellowship trained in advanced disciplines. They utilize surgical techniques that include minimally invasive procedures, specialized equipment (such as da Vinci® robotics) and laparoscopic procedures. Our surgeons work closely with other medical professionals (such as anesthesiologists) and collaborate with patients’ referring physicians to provide an individualized and comprehensive surgical experience.

One of the benefits of laparoscopic surgery is that the laparoscope allows the surgeon access through an incision a fraction of the size of that needed in a traditional surgery.
Our surgeons also offer both thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy procedures, as well as endoscopy, skin surgery, minor anal procedures (such as hemorrhoid treatment and anal fissures), percutaneous procedures (such as tracheotomy, gastrostomy tubes, and so on), port-a-cath placements, ventral and incisional hernia repair, complex wound management, surgical treatment of certain infections and many other general surgical procedures.
