Adriana graduated from Washington State University with a Master of Science degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, and Exercise Physiology. She is a registered dietitian with a certification from the American College of Sports Medicine as a clinical exercise physiologist (ACSM-CEP).
Adriana is passionate to help individuals develop a healthy long-term relationship with food, and to help them establish a positive, balanced lifestyle. She enjoys working with patients to create a personalized and realistic approach to weight management, as she believes each journey towards sustainable healthy living is unique.
Her previous experience includes over two years of outpatient bariatric nutrition, specializing in both surgical and non-surgical weight loss solutions. She is well versed with pre- and post-operative care for the gastric sleeve, bypass and duodenal switch procedures, as well as the major balloon programs (Orbera, ReShape and Obalon).
Her interests also include incorporating components of integrative and functional medicine into her practice. She believes in treating chronic diseases and conditions as a whole, by exploring and treating the underlying root cause of the condition. This approach emphasizes treating the body system as a whole, rather than focusing on specific body symptoms or organ.
Outside of work, you may find Adriana exploring the Pacific Northwest, usually on hikes and behind the camera lens. She also enjoys going on runs, trying new recipes, and cheering for the Seahawks and the WSU Cougars.
