SPOKANE, Wash. – The Washington State Athletic Trainers’ Association announced today that MultiCare Rockwood Clinic’s Tim Manson, MD has been recognized with the 2019 WSATA Physician Award.
This award recognizes a physician in Washington that exemplifies the commitment of service to the profession of athletic training. Manson has been the voluntary team physician at East Valley High School in Spokane Valley for more than 20 years. During this time, he has yet to miss any varsity wrestling events (home or away) and has only missed football game.
Manson also serves as the supervising physician for the other Spokane Valley high schools and has made himself readily available to work with any student-athlete in the greater Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area. Additionally, Manson has served as the head physician for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Mat Classic for 12 years.
