4-Week Childbirth Class at Tacoma General Hospital

4-Week Childbirth Series - This class series covers birth, comfort techniques, medications for birth, cesarean birth, postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn care. You will have an opportunity to meet other expectant parents, have class discussions and ask your childbirth instructor questions.

Who Should Enroll: Enroll mother-to-be only, ages 11 and up. Partners are encouraged to attend at no additional cost. Please do not bring children to class.

Parking Notes: Your class will be located in the Family Education Center on the 3rd floor of the hospital. Enter through the main entrance on MLK Way and head to the back of the floor you entered on, towards the NICU. Enter the door near the Breast pump and Lactation Supply office and you will see your classroom on the right.

Class/Event Fee: $140.00 or Provider One Card

Fee Notes: Payment required at the time of enrollment. Provider One Cards are accepted for this class. Please call 800-342-9919 to complete enrollment.

Supply Notes: Please bring water bottles, snacks, notebook, and pen.  Feel free to bring a lunch for day long classes, food is also available for purchase in our hospitals.  Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow for movement during class. 

Class/Event Discount Policy: We also accept Provider One Cards for this class.

Class/Event Refund Policy: Please call to cancel if you are unable to attend. Refunds are available up to 48 hours before the first class begins, a $15.00 handling fee will be retained by MultiCare.

Inclement Weather Policy: We will notify those enrolled if class is canceled.

Couples Enrollment Policy: A class registrant may attend alone but can feel free to bring a partner at no additional charge.
