Sleep medicine services

We provide clinical evaluation of all adult sleep disorders, including:

• Obstructive sleep apnea.
• Central sleep apnea complicating congestive heart failure.
• Insomnia.
• Restless leg syndrome.
• Movement disorders of sleep.
• Narcolepsy.
• Circadian rhythm disorders.
• Shiftwork disorders.

We evaluate adolescent sleep disorders, including:

• Evaluation of snoring and pediatric sleep apnea.
• Excessive daytime sleepiness.
• Snoring associated with ADHD.
• Sleep schedule disorders in children and adolescents.
• Childhood insomnia.
• Parasomnias: Sleep walking, night terrors, confusional arousals, etc.

The sleep lab

We have designed a warm and inviting place for your stay at the sleep center. Our center features private rooms that are tastefully decorated and feature a cozy bed, a desk, credenza, television and restroom. And we offer breakfast snacks before you depart for the day.

When you are referred to the MultiCare Sleep Center – West Pavilion 2, your treatment will include a sleep evaluation with one of our physicians. You may be referred to a sleep study, which will be conducted by our sleep technicians using start-of-the-art equipment. Our staff communicates your results to your primary care or referring provider in a prompt and timely manner. We are committed to helping restore you to good sleep and good health.

Overnight sleep studies are scheduled from 8:30pm to 5:30am the following morning. If follow-up testing is necessary, such as a multiple sleep latency test (MSLT), you may need to stay until 5pm the following day.

This clinic location is licensed as part of MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital. Patients receiving care at the hospital-based clinic may receive a separate bill for a facility fee. Patients are advised to contact their insurance provider to determine their coverage for hospital-based clinic facility charges.
