MultiCare Hosts Bridge to Brunch 5K Benefitting Community Cancer Fund

SPOKANE — MultiCare announced today that they will host the third annual “Bridge to Brunch” 5K run/walk on Saturday, October 12 starting at 9 AM in partnership with the University District.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Community Cancer Fund, a local non-profit agency dedicated to the fight against cancer for patients in the Inland Northwest.

Event Registration fees for ages 13 and up are $30, $10 for ages 12 and under, and are free for ages four and under. A new price category this year includes a family rate (four people) for $50.

All participants will receive a complementary brunch, immediately following the 5K. Adult beverages will be available for purchase at our cash bar for those 21 and up. Additionally, the first 500 registrants will receive a Bridge to Brunch beanie hat.

The course will start and finish on Washington State University’s Spokane campus, 218 E Spokane Falls Blvd. The course will take participants along the Spokane River and the Centennial Trail, as shown here.

Walkers, runners, dogs (on leashes) and strollers are welcome. For the more advanced runners, we will be offering chipped timing.

“This family-friendly event is a great way to get out and enjoy the beauty of our city and support a good cause at the same time!’ George Hampton, Senior Director of Marketing and Communication for MultiCare’s Inland Northwest region, said. “Each and every year this event just gets better and better.”
