SPOKANE, Wash. — MultiCare Health System announced that Dr. Jessica McHugh has been named the chief medical officer (CMO) for MultiCare Rockwood Clinic.
In her role, McHugh will oversee Rockwood’s 58 clinics, which include 50 specialty clinics and nine primary care locations. She will also manage the recruitment and training of physicians, ensuring that all staff adhere to safety standards while delivering the highest quality medical care.
McHugh, who graduated from Boston University’s School of Medicine, joined the MultiCare team in 2019 as a family medicine doctor and served as the primary medical care director. In August 2022, McHugh was named Rockwood’s CMO on an interim basis.
“Dr. McHugh has a proven track record for outstanding leadership,” said Keli Ramsey, president of Rockwood Clinic. “She embodies MultiCare’s values and lives the MultiCare mission of ‘partnering for healing and a healthy future’ on a daily basis.”
MultiCare’s chief executive, Alex Jackson, echoed those same sentiments.
“Dr. McHugh is not only an outstanding leader but an outstanding person,” Jackson said. “She truly cares about the Inland Northwest community, and she will continue the legacy of high-quality care that MultiCare patients have come to expect from Rockwood.”
McHugh will assume this role immediately.
