TACOMA, Wash. — Six MultiCare Health System hospitals have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025–2026 edition of Best Hospitals, earning distinctions in both overall and specialty care:
- MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital was named a Best Regional Hospital in Washington, ranking no. 7 in the state, and was also recognized as High Performing in 14 medical procedures and/or conditions.
- MultiCare Deaconess Hospital and MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital were recognized as High Performing in six medical procedures and/or conditions.
- MultiCare Covington Medical Center was recognized as High Performing in two medical procedures and/or conditions.
- MultiCare Capital Medical Center and MultiCare Valley Hospital were recognized as High Performing in one medical procedure and/or condition.
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions. Only 13% of hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation, and just one-third received High Performing ratings. These distinctions reflect superior outcomes in areas such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and nursing care.
