SPOKANE, Wash. — MultiCare Valley Hospital has been recognized as a Top Hospital and given an “A” grade. Both awards were given by The Leapfrog Group in fall 2025, recognizing the highest commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
Valley Hospital is the only hospital in the Inland Northwest region to receive this honor.
The Leapfrog Group, a Washington, D.C.-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers, released its new Hospital Safety Grades December 15. Known as the “gold standard” of patient safety ratings, Leapfrog rates and assigns A, B, C, D or F grades to approximately 2,500 general hospitals across the country.

To qualify for the distinction as a Top Hospital, hospitals must rank top among peers on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, which assesses hospital performance on the highest standards for quality and patient safety, and achieve top performance in their category.
