Resiliency rounding continued to grow in 2025, showing how brief, meaningful check-ins can positively impact the well-being of health care teams. The program began in 2022 and gained early momentum thanks to leaders who recognized how important it was for staff to feel seen, supported and connected in their daily work.
By 2023, the initiative expanded across the Inland Northwest, where teams quickly saw its value. Their success inspired a broader rollout, and in early 2025 the program launched a pilot at MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in the Puget Sound region.
From the beginning, teams collected feedback and data to understand the program’s impact. The results were clear: Even five-minute touchpoints helped strengthen team culture, build connection and provide emotional support. Many units shared that these quick interactions made it easier for staff to cope with stress and feel supported by their peers.
The success of the pilot led to rapid expansion. By September 2025, resiliency rounding had reached every hospital in the MultiCare system. To support the final rollout at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, Shared Leadership Council members from across regions offered formal training and hosted a wellness fair to help staff start using the tools right away.
With nearly a year of systemwide data, the outcomes stand out. Teams reported lower stress and emotional exhaustion, along with improved overall well-being and stronger awareness of wellness strategies. These changes weren’t subtle — they showed a meaningful, measurable impact on the daily experience of staff.
Resiliency rounders across MultiCare are helping create a culture where well-being is supported, connection is encouraged and staff feel cared for by the people who understand their work best.
