Personalized, comprehensive cancer treatment
The MultiCare Cancer Institute at Deaconess Hospital offers world-class treatment for a variety of conditions and diseases. MultiCare Deaconess Hospital has held an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accreditation since 1952 and is home to our region’s experts in treating cancer and blood disorders.
Our providers support rapid consultation access to ensure patients get a consult scheduled with a cancer specialist within 24 hours of the initial referral or request to be seen.
Personalized care team
Our patients and families work with a team of specialists to determine the best course of treatment to meet their specific needs. All patients are paired with a nurse navigator to facilitate treatment education, coordinate care and ensure a supportive patient experience. Nurse navigators advocate for patients and families throughout diagnosis, treatment and after-treatment care.
Our physician providers specialize in hematology, gynecology, urology, breast, colon and lung diseases. Additionally, oncology-trained surgeons and minimally invasive surgical specialists are available for consultation and surgical interventions for cancer treatment when needed. We host cancer conferences that are designed as a care-planning approach in which the group of specialists collectively designs the best course of treatment options for each patient. Specialists in medical and radiation oncology, radiology, surgery and cancer research meet weekly to evaluate and discuss the appropriate treatment strategy for our patients.
MultiCare Deaconess Hospital staff and providers aim to be a source of strength, care, support and hope for patients and families battling cancer and blood disorders.
