SPOKANE, Wash. – MultiCare announced the return of “Mammo Nights” throughout the month of October, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Mammo Nights offers extended hours, refreshments and giveaways to help encourage patients to have their annual mammogram. This year, extended hours will be offered on the following dates:
- Thursday, Oct. 3 from 5pm – 7:30pm
- Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 5pm – 7:30pm
- Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5pm – 7:30pm
- Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9am – 2pm
In celebration of National Mammography Day on October 18, appointments will be accepted all-day. The event will be held at MultiCare Rockwood Clinic’s Breast Health Center, 12410 E. Sinto Ave in Spokane Valley.
The Breast Health Center offers breast tomosynthesis, also known as 3D Mammography™, which provides clearer images with greater accuracy and help produce early detection.
“As with most cancers, the early detection of breast cancer helps produce a more positive patient outcome,” said Dr. Rachel O’Connor of Radia, MultiCare’s imaging partner. “Our patients lead busy lives and we want to encourage them to have their annual exam every year. We’ve found that this event is a great way to do that!”
