Before you start

Pre-employment onboarding requirements

Once you accept your offer, an onboarding specialist will reach out to you via email with pre-employment next steps. Below is a summary of some of those activities and resources to help you complete the tasks required before your first day. If you have any questions, your onboarding specialist will be happy to assist.

Drug & nicotine screenings

MultiCare is a smoke-free, drug-free workplace. All employment offers are conditioned upon acceptable pre-employment drug test. As part of our commitment to a healthy workplace, we require employees to obtain an annual flu immunization.

You will be asked to choose a collection site for drug testing when you complete the Cisive Consent Forms process sent to you via email. After you have successfully chosen a collection site, you will be sent a separate email with your drug test confirmation. You are expected to complete the drug test by the date communicated to directly to you by MultiCare Health System.

Background screenings

MultiCare conducts a background check including a search of Washington State Patrol records and a third party background investigation.

Washington State Patrol: This enables us to do a search of Washington State Patrol Records.

Academic/Education Form: For some positions, your education will be verified by a third-party vendor. (If no post-high school academic/education, please note “Not Applicable” on the form.)

The Washington State Patrol and Academic/Education forms are included in your electronic onboarding.

Employee ID Badge

Please submit a photo using the instructions and photo guidelines found in your pre-employment paperwork. You will receive your ID Badge at new employee orientation (NEO).

E-Verify

MultiCare Health System participates in the United States Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program.

This program enables MultiCare to use an online eligibility verification system for applications submitted. By using this program, we are able to be fully compliant with federal law, which requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.

For more information on E-Verify, please read the notices below when you are applying for work at MultiCare Health System.
