MultiCare expands services with additions to Orthopedics team

SPOKANE, Wash. — MultiCare Health System announced today the addition of three orthopedic physicians: Allison Blumenthal, DO, Joseph Labrum, MD, and Benjamin Welling, MD.

Dr. Blumenthal is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. With a master’s degree in science, Blumenthal earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University – Des Moines, IA. She completed a Residency in Orthopedic Surgery through Michigan State University and Fellowship training in Sports Medicine through Southern California Orthopedic Institute.

Dr. Labrum also joins the team as a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Sports Medicine. He completed his fellowship from Andrews Orthopedic Institute. He earned his medical degree through University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and attended University of Utah where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

Dr. Welling rounds out the latest addition to the Orthopedic team as a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon from the Mayo Clinic. He specializes in hand and upper extremity surgeries. As an undergraduate of Brigham Young University, Welling earned his medical degree from Baylor University.
Blumenthal, Labrum and Welling are currently accepting new patients.
