MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation’s 5th annual concert returns to benefit vulnerable newborns

SPOKANE, Wash. — The MultiCare Inland Northwest Foundation announced today that its annual benefit concert, Heart Strings, will return on Saturday, April 29, at the Davenport Grand.

This year’s lineup of musicians will include Thompson Square, Bryan White, Scotty Emerick, Danielle Bradbery and comedian Aaron Weber. The concert will raise funds to support MultiCare Deaconess Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Babies born prematurely or with serious health problems receive treatment in the NICU. In 2022, 399 babies were admitted to the Deaconess NICU.

Tickets start at $50 and can be purchased by visiting multicareheartstrings.org.

“In our fifth year of Heart Strings, 100 percent of the proceeds will help the tiniest and most vulnerable patients in the Inland Northwest,” said Carolyn Kadyk, executive director for MultiCare’s Inland Northwest Foundation. “Thanks to the generous support of our community, last year we raised a record-breaking $700,000, and we hope to eclipse that number with another lineup of chart-topping musicians this year.”

All musicians will perform on stage together, sharing the stories behind their hit music in the tradition of a “guitar pull.”

Thompson Square, a husband-and-wife duo, are known for their top-charting songs like “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not” and “If I Didn’t Have You.” A Grammy Award-nominated duo, Thompson Square’s top-10 singles include “I Got You” and “Everything I Shouldn’t Be Thinking About,” which have led to multi-platinum status. Their next single, “Without You,” is slated to hit radio stations on May 1.

White has been a long-standing supporter and participant in Heart Strings. A Grammy Award-winning artist, White collaborated with Shania Twain for the classic ballad “From This Moment On.” Also a platinum-selling artist, White has six No. 1 singles and has received countless awards and recognition for his music.

Emerick, who is currently touring as the opening act for Jimmy Buffet, is best known for the songs he has written for Toby Keith, including 10 No. 1 hits. A Grammy-nominated artist, Emerick has also been recognized as Songwriter of the Year by Nashville Songwriters Association.

Bradbery has come a long way since kickstarting her career at just 16-years-old. Spending the past decade growing into her artistry, the Texas native has honed her skills and defined her sound while pouring her heart into lyric – earning award nominations, touring across the globe and collaborating with some of the biggest names in music. Serving as inspiration for her first-ever headline tour, Bradbery’s rising new single “A Special Place” has already racked up over 5.7M streams to date.

Weber will be the first comedian to perform at Heart Strings and is a regular performer at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. He has performed as a headliner at comedy clubs across the country and was named the “New Face 2021” at the well-respected Just For Laughs comedy festival.
