TACOMA, Wash. — MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network today broke ground on its new outpatient children’s therapy center in Tacoma, located on South 19th across the street from MultiCare Allenmore Hospital.
The 16,000-square-foot medical office building will be home to Mary Bridge Children’s Therapy Services – Tacoma, and feature comprehensive physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapy services, as well as audiology and in-house orthotics and prosthetics. The site, located at 3307 S. 19th St., will open for patient care in late 2026.
“This is an exciting time and monumental year for Mary Bridge Children’s,” said Jeff Poltawsky, president and market leader of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network. “We believe kids should be at the front of the line and we’re grateful to partner with Rush to bring this project to life and improve access to critical rehabilitation services for families in the Sound end and beyond.”
In partnership with The Rush Companies, a local real estate development, construction, investment and property management firm developing the site, the new therapy center will open in fall 2026.
“We’re proud to expand our partnership with MultiCare through the development of this new children’s therapy center,” said Danny Kruse, vice president, The Rush Companies. “This project reflects our shared commitment to expanding valuable services that support the health and well-being of our community. We’re also grateful to Commencement Bank, a trusted local lender, for their partnership and support in bringing this project to life.”
