E-Visits

Get care for certain non-urgent health concerns without scheduling an appointment or visiting a clinic. Answer a few questions about yourself and your symptoms, then a member of our e-visit team will respond to you via MyChart message with a care plan.

When to use e-visits

E-visits are available for a limited range of conditions and symptoms and are offered to those who have seen a MultiCare primary care provider within the last three years. You will receive a response from a MultiCare provider via MyChart within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.

Conditions and symptoms include:

  • Cough
  • COVID-19
  • Heartburn
  • Rash
  • Red eye
  • Sinus problem
  • Urinary problem
  • Vaginal discharge or irritation

Estimated cost of an e-visit

Below is an estimate of what patients can expect to pay for e-visits. *To learn more about your specific out-of-pocket costs, please contact your insurance company directly.

Insurance Coverage Out-of-Pocket Cost*
Commercial insurance (Examples: Premera, Regence) Most private insurance carriers cover this at little to no cost to patients. If covered, copays, co-insurance and/or deductibles may apply.
Medicaid There is no out-of-pocket costs for patients
Medicare $3.00 to $7.00
No insurance or insurance does not cover $35

Get started with e-visits

  • First, log in to your MyChart account to begin an e-visit
  • After logging in, you can access E-visits in the MyChart menu under Find Care or in the Messages section by selecting Send a message, then Start E-Visit
  • Next, you will be asked to provide personal and health information – completing your e-visit registration will take approximately 10 minutes
  • You will receive a response from a MultiCare provider via MyChart within 24–48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays
