Dr. Usama is board-certified in internal medicine and sleep medicine and speaks four languages. He treats a full spectrum of sleep disorders in adult population, specifically obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, shift work and circadian rhythm disorders, sleep health disparities in underserved population, sleep disordered breathing in obese patients, excessive daytime sleepiness and restless legs syndrome.

Interplay of OSA, obesity and cardiac function. Impact of Anthropometric measures (neck circumference and BMI) and sleep disordered breathing variables (AHI, ETCO2, T88) on echocardiographic parameters of systolic and diastolic dysfunction, presented in SLEEP 2021 meeting.
