His extensive experience includes patient care and clinical research. Dr. Chitaley provides patient-focused care to help patients fully understand their treatment options. Away from work, he enjoys hiking, skiing and traveling.

    Dr. Chitaley is an answered prayer. When he enters the room he brings a calming, reassuring presence. He is thoughtful and gentle while presenting hard information. He takes the time to study the whole picture and leaves no stone unturned. He is thorough and truly cares about his patients. The tests he ordered this week very likely saved my life. I don't have adequate words to say how grateful my husband and I are to have him as my medical oncologist.

    I don't think my provider wants to hear MY concerns. He is impatient with me when I ask questions other than about my lab results. I get the impression he is annoyed with me. I only see him every 3 months now so I take the opportunity to ask my questions. He is a good provider during illness but I'm past treatments and still have lingering side effects that I am concerned about.

    Dr. Chitaly is so kind and knowledgeable. He asked me questions that most people have never asked me and I felt like he really cares about getting my diagnosis exactly right in order to treat it in the best way possible. He explained the whys of different treatment options which is really important for me to know. He also has quickly provided me with test results and modified the plan as necessary based on those results.
