Lea Shim, DO, is an internist who offers comprehensive primary care to adults, including osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Inspiration to go into medicine came at an early age. A close family member fought, and thankfully overcame, a life-threatening illness. Her goal is to have a lasting, positive impact on people’s lives, even during their most vulnerable times. Away from work she enjoys being creative: sewing, crafting, baking, and improving her cooking skills.

Practice Philosophy: I aim to help patients reach attainable health goals that fit their individual lifestyles by fostering meaningful, encouraging and trusting relationships. Health changes can be overwhelming. I do my best to let patients feel heard. I give straight-forward, digestible information to make people feel more comfortable and empowered, even during illness. I strive to simplify and coordinate care for all my patients. Being a doctor reminds me every single day of the gift that is time and health. I am honored to have the opportunity to help people in our community achieve optimal well-being.
