Lea Shim, DO, is an internist who offers comprehensive primary care to adults, including osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Inspiration to go into medicine came at an early age. A close family member fought, and thankfully overcame, a life-threatening illness. Her goal is to have a lasting, positive impact on people’s lives, even during their most vulnerable times. Away from work she enjoys being creative: sewing, crafting, baking, and improving her cooking skills.

    Dr Shim was personable and addressed most of my concerns. I had given the PA a list of concerns I and Dr Shim briefly covered a couple of them but not all; ie foot swollen and a different color from other foot but no comment to why that would be or how to take care of it.

    She asked a few questions, but I was unable to get any sort of an impression on her as a provider. I was very surprised that at a new patient appointment no full physical assessment was done and while my family history was reviewed, she didn't go over my personal medical history.

    At the end she left really fast. I didn't even realize the visit was over. She did not ask if there was anything else I needed. Appointments are expensive and hard to get.

    Dr. Shim is an outstanding doctor. I hope she stays my doctor for a LONG time. Too many good doctors have left the profession. She's one of the remaining excellent ones! . Multicare needs to treat her and ones like her as the precious jewels in the system crown that they are.

    I have an Inguinal Hernia, and while I realize this may not be her specialty, I would have hoped she had a little more knowledge about them.

    Dr. Shim is very personable and I always leave her office feeling heard. She takes her time to explain and shows genuine care for my healthcare needs. I've had male physicians in past years who have brushed off my infertility concerns and told me "to not think about it and it will happen." Dr. Shims values my concerns and works well to try help my husband and I succeed to start a family.
