Her approach helps my overall health because she recognizes all that I'm doing to help myself in addition to medication, and doesn't make me feel bad or like my diseases or disease activity is my fault.

Emily was humorous, warm, and validating. I felt seen and heard by her and hope to keep her as my PCP for a long while.

I think Dr. Piekenbrock is the best! Explains clearly, discusses options, shows compassion, and discusses future plans.

I drive clear across town to see Dr Emily. She is worth it. Very knowledgeable. Acknowledges and discusses thoroughly my concerns and helps me arrive at a decision about what I want to do.

I have been dealing with symptoms for months and I immediately felt at ease at the end of my appointment, confident she took the time to truly listen and eager to find a solution instead of masking the problem and making me feel like a burden.

She asked several times: "How can I support you?" These words from a provider are like magic. I see a huge difference in the care I receive from younger providers like Dr. Piekenbrock as I believe they are trained to use a more holistic approach to treatment and care. I feel like the two of us are a team in my healthcare with me taking the lead and she being a subject matter expert and consultant. I love the agency I feel to make informed choices on my own behalf with her input and guidance. She is truly exceptional.

Dr. Piekenbrock took time to address my concerns and even volunteered to do some additional research to answer a question for me. In the end, she wasn't able to provide me help regarding the issue but did have a recommendation to find the answer, and I really appreciated her efforts!
