Spoke way too fast and used only grad level textbook medical jargon. Obviously knew his stuff, but extremely difficult for me, as a normal person, to follow and understand.

Alex explained everything he was seeing on the xray, possible conditions/causes and possible treatments. He answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease.

Alex (Pittman) took the time & concern to actually show me the X-ray picture of my shoulder online, as opposed to just telling me the report. That helped me to understand the seriousness of the problem.

    A. Pittman was a great listener, kind, knowledgeable, gave me great feedback. When I asked if I could get a walking cast instead of the boot, he explained the pros and cons, which I had not thought about, but told me he could put a cast on if that was what I really wanted and that it would also work. I realized that the cons, needing to have It recast several times, as opposed to one boot, were not what I wanted after all. He was so so sincere In letting me know that it was my choice, which a level of respect I was not used to at the Dr.'s office : )

Answered a question that I had asked the nurse upon arrival. Beyond that did not ask if I had questions, tell me what to expect during or post procedure, etc. He interacted with the nurse but not me.

I can't tell how great and respectful Dr. Pittman treated me and my daughter.

A Pittman was professional and courteous. He did not ask many questions about my activity level and lifestyle but then went on to opine about it. As an example, he concluded that I led a sedentary lifestyle, went on to advise " that if you were a cyclist or runner then I would expect etc.," While I am not a runner, I am a casual cyclist, walk extensively and do occasional hard manual labor for a man my age. When I attempted to correct his assumptions, he appeared dismissive. I left the appointment wondering if he really considered my circumstances thoroughly when making his diagnosis, or if there were issues that should have been more thoughtfully considered. Providers who know It all, seen it all before and make it very clear they know without actually interviewing and listening to me, do not earn my trust or repeat business.
