Catherine Hunter, DO
Catherine Hunter, DO is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and specializes in the care of menopausal patients. She partners with women to address symptoms of menopause such as disturbed sleep, difficulty with intercourse and macular degeneration issues. Dr. Hunter helps patients in this stage of life lessen the impact on cognitive function, bone health, cardiovascular health, pelvic floor support, sex drive and overall sense of well-being that can result from the body’s hormonal transition.
Dr. Hunter’s interest in medicine was sparked by her parents – her father was a physician, and her mother a nurse. If she didn’t pursue a career in heath care, she would have likely been a veterinarian or wildlife research since she has a deep connection to animals of all kind.

From the beginning of my practice, I recognized the lack of access to providers who have the time and expertise to understand menopause and educate patients about the associated symptoms. As a result, a large part of my career has been dedicated to in-depth education about all aspects of menopause. I believe patients should be in charge of their health and I share the facts so they can base decisions on the best information available.
