Nandagopal Vrindavanam, MD is medical oncologist who treats all types of adult cancers and blood diseases. I consider myself lucky to have earned the privilege to care for my patients. Cancer is a scary word and I believe that the relationship between myself and patients must be built on trust and understanding. Experiencing my mother's cancer diagnosis and treatment has given me more insight into the disease. I strive to treat every patient as I would ​I would my own family, with empathy, open communication and compassion.

    Dr V did not really explain the diagnosis of Multiple Mialoma or why the long wait to have the PET Scan and follow up appointment??We walked away with very little answers as to what the treatment if any was going to be done.

    I was seeing an oncologist for test results and to formulate a treatment plan. He was wonderful, warm and caring. We even laughed.

    This was my first visit with Dr. V and I was thoroughly impressed. He was attentive, and fully engaged. He listened to my story, concerns and questions, then provided information so we could make decisions together. He truly made me feel like my health is priority, and that sets the groundwork for being able to trust him with my care going forward. I would definitely recommend Dr. V to other patients! Please ensure that he knows he did a great job, and thank you for truly giving the care and attention that is needed, especially in this field of work!

    Dr. V is a great at listening and explaining what needs to happen.

    He just told me what was going to happen but even that was just kind of brief. He did ask if I had any questions but since I don't know what to ask I did t really have anything at the time. As far as I know there are no other options. One thing that really bothered me is that the next day I received a call from the pharmacy saying some prescriptions were available and not once did Dr. V say that I would have any prescriptions. I had to look up what they were and infer why I was prescribed them. I have no idea when I am supposed to take them though or any medical guidance.
