Welcome to Our Birth Center

TeamBirth
We are participating in TeamBirth, an industry-standard process to improve communication, teamwork and shared decision making throughout your birthing process for a patient-centered experience.
Welcoming a baby is one of life’s most precious moments. Choosing your care provider and where to have your baby is part of your birth story. The Birth Center at Capital Medical Center is here to give you a special, memorable experience.
About the Birth Center
When Capital Medical Center first introduced the concept of having an all-in-one birthing suite unit, the vision was a composite of what mothers said they wanted. That vision became a reality in October 1990. The private birthing suites have been so popular and well received that we again listened to our moms by expanding our services — more birthing suites and a larger nursery.
We’d love to show you what our mothers and families appreciate:
- Labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care. At Capital Medical Center, our mothers deliver in a private birthing suite where they labor, deliver, recover and receive postpartum care, all in the same room.
- Breastfeeding support. We offer breastfeeding support before, during and after patients stay for as long as they need it.
- Private rooms. Larger, private rooms to accommodate a spouse or support person overnight.
- Room service meals.
- Expert care. The friendliness, attentiveness and skill of our nurses, technicians, and physicians.
- A warm, caring environment. Providing a warm, cozy atmosphere.
