Quality & Safety

Quality patient care in a safe, healing environment

Quality- Patient getting blood drawn at a laboratory

At MultiCare, we encourage you to take an active role in managing your health care. Whether you’re a patient at one of our hospitals or outpatient clinics, we want to partner with you to improve your health.

That’s why we’re pleased to share with you how we’re delivering on our promise to provide quality patient care in a safe, healing environment.

MultiCare follows national guidelines for measuring the quality of care provided at our hospitals. We report our results each quarter to Hospital Compare, a national website sponsored by the federal government. We use the results to help us further improve the quality of the care we provide. These guidelines, which are based on best practices proven to save lives and enhance quality of life for our patients, focus on heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia, because these are the most common conditions that result in hospital admissions.
