Cyd Marckmann, DNP, ARNP, FAANP – Director APP Fellowship
Dr. Cydne Marckmann, DNP, ARNP, FAANP completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2016 from Frontier Nursing University. Her DNP project was the design and implementation of a real-time telemedicine program with Washington State Athletic Trainers in Concussion Management, one of the first in the United States. She completed her Nurse Practitioner program with Adult and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner certifications from the University of Washington in 1999 and a post-masters certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2017. Elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2013, she has been active in health policy for several years and served on the National Advisory Council on Nursing Education and Practice for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) from 2005-2010. An advocate for student athletes, she facilitated a return to play protocol after concussion for the Puyallup School District in Washington, a protocol now adopted by several other Washington school districts. An Affiliate Clinical Faculty member of the University of Washington School of Nursing, she was a Preceptor of the Year in 2014, precepting nurse practitioner students since 2002.
Cydne has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Nursing Honor Society since 1990 and a Seattle Met Magazine Top Nurse Practitioner for several years. She is currently employed by MultiCare Health Systems as the Program Director for the Advanced Practice Primary Care Fellowship. In her spare time, she likes to travel to visit grown children, read, and walk her energetic Labradoodle.
