From our spacious birthing suites, to the support and care we provide during and after your labor and delivery, the Family Birth Center at MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a warm and welcoming place for you to have your baby. Our birth center features include:
- Private birthing suites, where you’ll stay throughout your labor, delivery and recovery (unless mom needs extra medical support).
- Each birthing suite includes sleeping couches, rockers, jetted tubs, refrigerators, and plenty of room for visitors.
- Wireless monitoring for laboring mobility.
- All our postpartum rooms are also private, with windows, sleeping couches, rockers, refrigerators and room for visitors.
- Baby stays in the room with mom (unless baby needs extra medical support).
- Level II NICU onsite with 24/7 coverage from board-certified neonatology specialists, if your baby needs more care.
- A family-friendly, open visitor policy so friends, family and loved ones can visit whenever you like.
- Lactation support to help you successfully breast feed your baby.
- Support for vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
- Wireless monitoring for laboring mobility.
- Birthing peanuts, cub cushions, slings and an array of support for unmedicated laboring.
- Nitrous oxide for pain management.
- Gentle C-sections available by request, including better visibility of baby’s birth and faster skin-to-skin contact.
