Gyan Shrestha, MD, is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology from UCLA, with a specialized focus in epilepsy. He provides expert care for children with a wide range of epilepsy syndromes including Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, infantile spasms, generalized epilepsies, and rare genetic and metabolic epilepsies such as Rett syndrome and Angelman syndrome.
In addition to his specialization in complex and drug-resistant epilepsy, Dr. Shrestha also evaluates and manages general pediatric neurology conditions such as headaches, tics, developmental delays, and movement disorders — offering families comprehensive neurological care in one place.
Based at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Dr. Shrestha serves the Puget Sound region including Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Olympia, where access to pediatric neurology and epilepsy expertise is critically needed. He offers advanced therapies such as vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), ketogenic dietary therapy, and tailored medication management for children with difficult-to-control seizures.
