He provides expert care for children with a wide range of epilepsy syndromes including Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, infantile spasms, generalized epilepsies, and rare genetic and metabolic epilepsies such as Rett syndrome and Angelman syndrome.

First appointment we had a difficult connection. We ended up using cell phone call for the first contact but it did get the ball rolling for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you so much.

Provider was knowledgeable and compassionate, but child felt like he didnt really listen to or address the issues that worried her the most. When he asked how long her most recent headache lasted and she answered 5 days, he repeated it with astonishment. And then he moved on. Telling her to get more sleep, and take steps to improve her sleep. It felt to her like he glossed over a really important piece of information and didn't really dig into at all. And then when he presented three options for treatment and asked her if what she thought of them, and if she'd like to try any of them, she chose one but he tried to talk her into a different one. If he wanted her to do that other one, why present other options for her to choose from? It just felt very disconnected and she walked away feeling like he hadn't really listened to her.

He listened to my conversation ebenthough they were all over the place. He listened to them. These are what I notice and teachers notice. I am glad he listened.

I had a lot of follow up questions and concerns about starting a new medication, the doctor was extremely patient and helpful in getting all my questions answered. Even though we had a late appointment in the day and I'm sure he was ready to get home, I never felt rushed or that I was an inconvenience which was greatly appreciated!

OP Neuro is fantastic. It's the hospital staff that needs to be trained on communication and bedside manner
