Jennifer Karabin, ARNP, is an adult–gerontology acute care nurse practitioner specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. She provides outpatient follow up and ongoing care for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic procedures, working closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams to support recovery and long term health. Jennifer brings extensive experience caring for patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, with a clinical focus on post operative care, lung nodule evaluation and surveillance, aortic aneurysm monitoring and care coordination, symptom and medication management, and cardiovascular risk factor optimization. She is especially passionate about helping patients understand their diagnosis, recovery process, and long term care plan so they feel informed, supported and confident in their care.

Jennifer was drawn to health care by a desire to support people during vulnerable moments. Early in her nursing career, she saw the impact of combining strong clinical skills with compassion and clear communication, which inspired her to continue her training as a nurse practitioner and focus on cardiac care. Helping patients feel informed, supported, and less afraid during uncertain moments continues to be what motivates her every day. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.

Practice Philosophy:

I believe the best care happens when patients feel heard, informed and supported. I take time to listen carefully, answer questions clearly and help patients understand complex diagnoses and surgical decisions in a way that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

My background caring for complex cardiac surgery patients has taught me how important both clinical precision and compassion are in medicine. I view each patient as a partner in their care, and together we develop a plan that aligns with both medical best practices and the patient’s individual goals. My goal is not only strong clinical outcomes, but also a care experience where patients feel respected, confident and supported every step of the way. I want every patient to leave their visit feeling that their concerns were heard and that they have a clear plan for what comes next.
