Dr. Lawson is an exceptional Orthopedic physician...... I wish I had listened to him sooner at my 1st visit; I wouldn't have had to go through as much severe pain as I did for so many months. We live & learn!!

Dr. Lawson said the shots wouldn't hurt and they didn't. He kept me distracted so I wouldn't focus on the knee shots.

Dr. Lawson took the necessary time to slowly and carefully discuss my problems. He made sure that I understood what he was saying and to also speak loud enough for me to hear as I wear hearing aids. He even went out of his way to draw pictures!

The Dr was great. I did suggest they have a pamphlet of pictures to hand out so as to not have to continually go to the internet for picture examples.

First time meeting Dr Lawson. It was very brief, a bit awkward interacting between us during conversation. But he showed genuine interest when I asked if I truly needed the procedure. Not all doctors have great "bedside manners." What matters to me most is that he will do his best during surgery and that I'll have a good outcome.

Good: the doc gave me a {steroid) shot for pain. He didn't tell me what kind of shot he was giving me.Fair: Doc mentioned my age at least twice...as though I was too old to expect walking without pain again???Poor: Doc had not received/got/read MRI before I gave him a copy which showed I had torn meniscus, and deteriorating cartilage.Good: He did show personal interest by mentioning I had come long way to appt: 2 hour drive. He also followed up on comment about my reason to continue exercising regularly: to control weight and to minimize chance of getting dementia that my dad had for 16 years. He did tell me to contact him again if I wanted to have meniscus tear trimmed...
